Donate space heaters to local shelter

I’m the kind of person who is always trying to clear crap out of my house.

  • I do not want to accumulate a bunch of garbage and become a micro hoarder like so many of my relatives do.

I can tell you, it is really not fun when they eventually pass away and you are left to deal with all of their messes. This is one of the reasons why I try to live a very minimalist lifestyle for myself. Additionally, I simply don’t like the appearance of clutter and I know that there are people who can use my belongings right now rather than keeping them in my garage for the next two decades. This is one of the major factors behind my regular donation to the local shelter. I tried to bring them my clothing, extra toiletries, and excess heating systems every time I can. You see, living in this column that you wind up accumulating a plethora of space heaters. It is often extremely cold outside to the point that you need additional heating sources besides your normal forced air furnace. This is known as very helpful to have smaller, portable heating systems on hand. You can very easily move the smaller heating devices around your house so you can provide enough warmth no matter where you are working. However, at the end of every winter season I don’t want to put my space heaters back in the storage. I would rather just get rid of the portable heating devices and purchase new ones when it gets cold again. So, I always donate my portable space heaters to the local shelter so that somebody can get good use out of them. Everyone wins, and no one freezes.
