We decided to wait until morning and reassess the situation
I came home from work last week, and I knew there was something different about the side of the house, but I didn’t know what it was. I went into the house and started dinner so it would be ready when my husband got home. I headed up the stairs to get a shower, and I realized what was different outside. There were tire tracks in my backyard. I walked outside, and you could have knocked me over with a feather. The air conditioning unit was missing. I don’t know how long I stood there, but it was my husband that brought out of my shock. He looked at the space and my husband was just as surprised as I was. He asked if I had called the HVAC company, which surprised me. I didere the air conditioning used to be, and asked me if I noticed something different. I gave him an odd look, and he shrugged. Why would I be standing there staring at an open space if I hadn’t noticed the air conditioning unit was missing? I didn’t know what the HVAC company was going to do about a missing AC unit? If it had been broken or run over, they may have been able to replace it, which is all they could do now. He also asked if I was going to call the police? I told him he could make that call and listen to them laugh when we report a runaway air conditioning unit. We decided to wait until morning and reassess the situation. Hopefully, we would be over our surprise by morning.
