When we were at the zoo, the polar bear exhibit got shut down

Whenever we were at the zoo with the family the other day, the polar bear exhibit got shut down because the air conditioning stopped working. I had never heard of something like this ever happening before, but they made an announcement over the zoo intercom and everything. They wanted to make sure that nobody would come all the way up the hill to the big polar bear enclosure and waste their time at the zoo since they could not get in. Apparently they were trying to make sure to keep the cold air that was already in there inside so they were not letting the doors be opened or closed at all. I guess it is really bad for the polar bears’ health and well-being to get overly hot. The day that we were at the zoo, the temperature outside was in the 80s, so I guess that would be considered very hot for a polar bear. We veered away from the polar bear exhibit, even though our kids really wanted to see them. Instead, we went over to the wolves’ exhibit because it’s our next favorite. While we were there, a heating and cooling maintenance truck came flying down the asphalt path outside. They even had a little siren on top of it. It was like it was an ambulance, but it was actually an HVAC truck on its way to bring life giving air conditioning to the polar bears! This was the first time that I had ever seen a true air conditioning emergency anywhere. They got it fixed really quickly.
