If you have a warranty on your HVAC system, you need to check it

If you have a warranty on your HVAC system, then you need to make sure what the requirements are for it to keep it valid.

This is something that I ended up messing up for myself last year without really meaning to.

I mean, I purchased the extended warranty on my HVAC system for a reason. I wanted to make sure that my heating and cooling system was covered if we ever ended up having issues with it. I thought that if I simply purchased the extended warranty for it, then I would be covered and that I would never really have to worry about it again. It turns out that there was actually a lot more to it than that, and I ended up just messing everything up myself. See, in the fine print for the extended HVAC warranty, it very clearly states that the owner of the HVAC system needs to have the system thoroughly inspected and maintained by a certified HVAC technician twice a year in order to keep the HVAC warranty intact. Of course, I never did this at all. I never had it looked at once by an HVAC technician and then when my air conditioning broke down, I was totally expecting my warranty to cover the costs of the repair. Needless to say, that did not happen and I was really upset about it. However, there is really no one to blame for it but myself. I should have paid more attention to the fine print in the age of warranty and I would not be in this position. If you have a warranty on your HVAC system, make sure that you read the fine print.
