It was 80 degrees yesterday, and it felt like the middle of summer even though it is the first day of fall today.
Later this month, we are going to have a big outdoor party at our house. This is something that we have been planning for a pretty long time. All year this year, we have been talking about having a party at the beginning of fall to celebrate going back to school and the beginning of football season. Fall is our favorite time of year in our family, and we really love it when the weather starts cooling off outside. We love to have bonfires and we love having fires in our fireplace in the house too. Unfortunately for us, the weather doesn’t seem to want to participate with us this year as far as the cooling off part goes. The temperature around here where we live has not started to cool off at all yet. It was 80 degrees yesterday, and it felt like the middle of summer even though it is the first day of fall today. Since we want to have this big outdoor party soon, I am starting to wonder if we should think about getting a tent so we can put some portable air conditioning units in it. At first, I was thinking that we might have to put some heating units in there, but since the weather is behaving so strangely, I think air conditioning units would make more sense. I guess I will call up the local rental company and see what they have to say about it. Maybe I can rent one heating unit and one air conditioning unit and that way I will be prepared for anything.
