We were at a show downtown the other night and they had to evacuate the building during the second half of the show. It was not anything major, though. It turned out that one of the pumps had gone out and was causing all kinds of black smoke to filter in through the air vents in the building for some reason. It’s a good thing that they caught it when they did because it could have really caused a lot of damage if they let it go. I think that it was probably not that much of a problem but the issue ended up with the fact that we all had to leave the building for quite a while. The indoor air quality in the building was really terrible after the smoke issue happened. Even though they opened up all of the doors and windows, there was still a terrible smell inside the building and the indoor air quality was just awful. I was really sad about the fact that they had to stop the show because of all of the smoke because I really wanted to see the show. It was one of the best shows that I have ever seen, at least the first half that we actually got to see, anyway! The firemen came and got everything under control and then they ended up calling up the HVAC company to have them come and check things out. I was surprised that the commercial HVAC company showed up so quickly after the pump had gone out. I guess they have a really great relationship with their HVAC company.
