The house buying process

The process of buying a house is a long, difficult one.

It seems like the universe tries to make getting a house next to impossible.

First I went back and forth with the sellers eight million times. They wanted more money than the house was worth, then maybe they wanted a cash offer. Next, there was a bunch of stuff missing from the house that I was expecting. Before I signed papers I had to go back and forth again. Now, the newest issue I am experiencing is after the home inspection. The inspector found that the AC system doesn’t work. I shouldn’t have been too surprised. The HVAC unit is 17 years old. I looked up the central HVAC model and it should last around 10-12 years. So of course the unit was going. I am a little peeved because when I toured the house I specifically asked the woman about her air conditioner. I asked her if the AC can keep her home cool. She responded right away that it could and I was feeling good about it. The home inspector told me he turned on the AC during his inspection and the house was over 90 degrees the whole time. The woman totally is trying to con me! I am hoping I can get money towards a new air conditioner system at least. I really want a new HVAC system paid for. I feel I am owed that after all this back and forth. I am getting to the point that I want to tell her to keep her house and her faulty HVAC unit.
