The air conditioning got stuck in the on position at work the other day and I thought that I was going to freeze! I don’t really do very well in cold temperatures most of the time.
The fact that it was so cold in the office that day meant that my productivity levels went way down and I could barely get anything done at all. I was so focused on the fact that I was freezing at my desk that I could not seem to think very much about work at all. I remember thinking that it would be wonderful to just go outside so that I could feel the sun and start warming up for a little bit! It was definitely a rough day and they took forever to get the commercial HVAC company out to the building to get the A/C fixed. My co-workers and I were all covered up with tablecloths from the cafeteria by that point and we couldn’t wait until the air conditioning was turned off. Whenever the commercial HVAC technicians came through the front doors of the building, we all stood up and applauded them as they walked by our desks. I don’t think that I have ever been so cold in my whole entire life. Whenever they got the A/C unstuck and it turned off, it took the whole rest of the day to get the office building to start heating up again! I hope that it never happens again. If it does, then I am just going to take the rest of the day off!
