It seems like I get more than my fair share of crazy.
And that is really weird considering how run of the mill balance I am. My default personality is one of relative calm, considered and reasonable behavior. So, why are there so many crazy people in my life? My mother in law is so out there that I am certain that she must be the most miserable person in the world. I hide in my independently HVAC controlled home office whenever she comes to the house. I just can’t handle her at all. My poor wife, I just don’t know how she does it. But, it doesn’t even stop there. A neighbor just down the street could be my mother in laws twin. This guy is one of those people that believes every far fetched conspiracy. He is willing to blame anyone and everyone for his implosion of a life. That would be fine if the man could simply keep all that crazy to himself. Oh no, he lays in wait for me to come out in the yard and then he makes a bee line for me. His latest rant is over the fact that the HVAC refrigerant used in his system is now banned in the United States. Of course, this phase out has been in the works for a decade and every homeowner was aware of it if they had a visit from the HVAC tech in the last ten years. Nope, this guy is certain that this is another liberal plot designed specifically to ruin his life. I need to start acting like my other neighbors and just go back inside when he starts walking toward our house. Can’t fight crazy but you sure can avoid it.
