It wasn’t the part that my buddy was looking at at all
I had a few friends over to my apartment and I just happened to mention that I needed to get my HVAC system serviced soon. It hasn’t been running as strong as it usually does. One of my buddies said that he could tune up my HVAC system and get it working in tip-top shape. We all went down to look at the HVAC system and he immediately started opening up the cabinet without even turning the power off. I shouted “stop!” Then I explained to him that you have to turn the power off before opening up the cabinet. After all, it was written all over the cabinet that you had to do this. Apparently he didn’t think about it at all and this made me question his ability to work on my HVAC unit. I decided I was just going to call up an HVAC supplier even though he kept insisting that he knew what he was doing but had just forgotten to turn off the electricity. I don’t want him to mess up my HVAC system or electrocute himself, for that matter. When we got back upstairs I went ahead and called up an HVAC supplier. Someone who is certified. I was very happy that they were able to come out to my apartment within the hour. The technician arrived and checked everything over, but not before turning off the power. Then he cleaned out part of the air conditioner compressor. It wasn’t the part that my buddy was looking at at all. I guess they were a bunch of leaves or something in the way. Now it’s working great again and no one got electricuted!
