It seems basically like I get more than my tolerable share of crazy.
And that is really weird if you consider how run of the mill balance I am.
My default personality is a single one of relative calm, considered and satisfactory behavior. So, why are there multiple crazy people in my life? My mother in law is so out there that I am sure that she must be the most bothered person in the world. I hide in my independently Heating and A/C controlled office space whenever she comes to the property. I just can’t take her, even a little bit. My poor partner, I just don’t know how he can even deal with it. But, it doesn’t even stop there. A crazy guy just down the street could be my mother in law’s twin. This guy is a single one of those people that believes pretty much every far fetched conspiracy theory. He is regularly willing to blame anyone and everyone for his implosion of a life. That would be good if the man could easily keep all that crazy to himself. Oh no, he lays in wait for me to come out in the yard and then he tries to come speak to me. His latest rant is over the fact that the Heating and A/C machine refrigerant used in his HVAC equipment is now banned in the US. Of course, this phase out has been in the works for about a decade and all homeowners are aware of it if they had a visit from the Heating and A/C equipment tech in the last few years or so. Nope, this guy is for certain that this is another liberal plot designed to ruin his life. I need to start acting more like my other neighbors and just go back inside when he starts walking toward our property. Can’t fight crazy however you sure can avoid it.
