I wish that I had just become a heating and cooling specialist straight out of school
I wish I had just become an HVAC specialist when I graduated high school. Back then, I actually thought that I needed to go to a four-year college and get a degree in order to make anything out of my life. Instead, I ended up “educating” myself right out of a job in the field I wanted to do back then. I ended up with a ton of college debt I still haven’t paid off. It’s awful, being in debt when you’re not actually working in the field you want to be in. Anyway, these days I am an HVAC specialist. It’s a job that I love. It didn’t take me long to get my HVAC certification at the local technical school. Getting that certificate was challenging, but not a long time in coming. Best of all, it did not cost me much. After I got my HVAC certification, I was able to get a job in the field immediately. I have already paid off our fees from technical school, but I don’t know how long it’s going to take me to pay off my college bills. I am not even using that degree, and it seems like a big waste of time and money now. I wish that I had just become a heating and cooling specialist straight out of school. You live and learn, when it comes right down to it.
