A few miswired wires was better than having a big problem with the HVAC system
I had recently had a new thermostat installed in my house, so I knew it wasn’t the thermostat when the temperature wasn’t where I wanted it to be. I called the HVAC company to get their help, but I couldn’t get any help for at least two days. They must have had a slew of emergencies if I had to wait for two days or more. I waited impatiently for the HVAC technicians to arrive and check my air conditioning. I was glad I wasn’t living in an area where they already had snow, because I would be in terrible shape. I can’t imagine what it would be like if it was freezing outside, and I didn’t have any air conditioning. I was glad I only needed air conditioning in our area, and if it quit working this time of year, I would not complain too much. Two days later, the HVAC technician called and said he would be here that same afternoon. He was going to check the air conditioning unit and the wiring. He was wondering if whoever installed the thermostat had switched some wires around. Luckily, that was all that was wrong with the HVAC system. A few miswired wires was better than having a big problem with the HVAC system. It was also cheaper to repair. I think the next time I have work done on the HVAC system, I’m going to talk to a different HVAC company. I don’t have much faith in the one I’m using since I’ve had so many problems with this one.
