My sister and I decided to replace my dad’s air conditioner for his birthday, but we had to get him out of the home first.
We wanted to surprise him, but father is very suspicious, so surely he knew we were up to something.
We tried to make him think we wanted to send him away for a nice, thoughtful night or more at a hotel for his special day. He was up for this, but he thought that that was strange. We just wanted him to go there so he could swim in the pool and use the spa, we explained, but he gave us an unusual look as he loaded his suitcase into his car and drove away. He knew that both of us were doing something, I bet, but I don’t think he had any idea an HVAC crew was coming in to tear out his old central cooling system and replace it with a new high-efficiency cooling system for his birthday! I mean, when I say it out loud, it seems like a completely crazy idea. My sister and I were determined to get it done, though. With dad out of the house, we did not have any troubles at all. The HVAC supplier arrived at his home right on time, and they got to work instantly. They had the old central cooling system torn out and the new model installed promptly. Then they even cleaned up after themselves. They were very professional, and dad was so surprised!
