In fact, I didn’t find out until later that they were a hobbyist heating and cooling worker. And in this way, I really screwed myself by hiring some cheap heating, cooling, and ventilation phoney. Of course, I was blown away by the low price tag for his services, but I would be a lot more amazed after he left. The guy broke my ancient boiler in a way that I didn’t consider possible. I asked to call his boss for a heating system replacement, and that’s when I learned, in fact, he was only interested in HVAC, he had never been formally trained. The guy worked on heating and cooling devices in his spare time to earn an extra buck. This experience finally proved, you want to hire a highly trained professional to work on your appliances, all the way down to indoor air handling equipment.
