I bet there are some busy HVAC technicians in certain areas of the north right now. I heard the Farmer’s Almanac predicted an early and cold winter but it isn’t even fall yet and it is snowing in some places. Most people there have probably not even thought of getting their furnaces serviced for the coming winter yet and here they are already using said furnaces! Now is a bad time for some people to find out that their furnaces need repairs or replacement. That’s the whole reason for having them serviced in the fall, to make sure you will have heat all winter. And now there is a rush to get furnaces serviced, as well as the repairs and replacements. I bet the HVAC technicians up there are pulling their hair out trying to keep up. My husband and I used to live up North and my husband is a certified HVAC technician. Business would always pick up a little in the fall, just in time for Christmas. But, this year the fall business is coming in the late summer in the places that are snowing. These people have just had their air conditioners serviced and now they need their furnaces serviced! Imagine having an HVAC technician service your HVAC system twice in four months. It would make me feel rich! I’m just glad that we don’t have to deal with the snow anymore and my husband is grateful he doesn’t have to work with furnaces anymore. We live in a tropical area and he says HVAC work is easier here.
