So it’s barely into January and I don’t know if I’m going to actually make it to the spring.
This winter experiment may have to come to a premature end for me.
I really want it to work because I can’t imagine being away from my wife. But I also feel like I’m freaking out a bit with nothing but the HVAC heating this winter. Where I come from, winter is really the time of year we all love. This is because the weather is great and the HVAC cooling is finally off for the year. In my life, prior to this winter, we celebrated this time of year by being outside having fun every chance we got. That is definitely not the case here. My wife’s company needed her to come up here to straighten out the local office. This is not a long term thing and I’m thankful for that. But it could be a few years. We still have our home down south as the company is paying for the rental we are living in. The place is plenty nice for our purposes. And there is even a new gas furnace for heating. Thankfully, the house is also sealed up tight for the winter as well. And that’s exactly how I feel, sealed up tight for the winter. I work from home and so it’s just me and the HVAC heating all day. Even the cat doesn’t want anything to do with this winter and stays curled in a ball on the bed all day. I’m not sure if I can make it up here but with the help of HVAC heating, I’ll keep trying.
