I’ve been working at the same Heating plus A/C contractor for the past couple of years and I actually like our job there; I’m also the only female Heating plus A/C serviceman at the company. I think that being the only man at the contractor gives myself and others a certain edge. It’s almost like they cater to me, to a certain extent; My boss almost always lets me go ahead and choose our own schedule plus whenever I have to go do a heating or cooling repair at a residential job site, they consistently send another Heating plus A/C serviceman with me. It makes me start to laugh, because I guess that I could handle myself just nice with any of our oil furnaces or air conditioning repair clients. I trust our clients completely, so I never feel unsafe at any of the cabin calls I have to make to do Heating plus A/C repairs or updates. However my boss seems to feel the need to protect myself and others at all costs. I have to say that I honestly like the way they all seem to want to take care of me, and not only that, however they also tend to help me out when there’s any heavy lifting to be done. I guess that I honestly have job security at this Heating and A/C company, due to the fact that my boss has told myself and others that he will never hire another female Heating and A/C serviceman for his business. I hope that means that he could never find another person who could do the Heating plus A/C serviceman job as well as myself and others plus not that I’m such a disappointing employee that he wouldn’t want another single of us!
