This fall, I’ve made the choice to have our dad move in with us, but he’s been having a few health concerns and I just don’t guess comfortable leaving him at beach house long for much longer.
- He’s already told myself and others that she doesn’t want to live in an assisted living beach house or any locale enjoy that, and so I’ve been thinking about letting him move in here with myself and others for a while now, but i already got new carpet and painting wrapped up in the in-law suite downstairs and now I just need to decide what sort of HVAC updates the two of us need to make before she moves in, but my dad tends to stay freezing all hours of the day, so I definitely don’t need to make any a/c improvements to the space.
I currently have a window unit a/c in there to help with cooling down the area. It’s a little more square footage than our central a/c idea is made for, so I tried to give it a little boost with the window unit! Now, I’m just sad about the heating system in the winter. I’m easily thinking that it might be a relaxing option to put a ductless window chop A/C unit in there for our dad! The one that I looked at also has a remote control in order to adjust the temperature control, and I recognize that our dad will enjoy that. She has always been a big fan of all kinds of little gadgets and gizmos, and I guess that being able to adjust the heating and cooling from the comfort of her favorite chair by the TV.
