Imagine working numerous shifts at work because most of the staff chose to quit, then well, that was my situation last week. It was a ridiculous day from early in the afternoon with numerous tools breaking. Later, all of us had a client who came in and caused all sorts of issues. She was so unruly that she ended up attacking 1 of my colleagues. The unlucky thing is our manager chose to side with her, yet she is the 1 who instigated the argument. The next hour about ¾ of the staff was walking out. No amount of convincing would make them stay in such a toxic work environment. Because of that, the remaining staff had to work extra shifts to cover the staff shortage. After I was done with my time and got paid, I also quit because my body couldn’t handle it anymore. I remember driving apartment that day looking forward to getting out of the freezing into a beautiful and warm house. I’d left the heating component on, so I knew the apartment would be all cozy. But, I was shocked when I found the heating component had failed at some point. The apartment was so cold, and it was late in the night. I wasn’t sure if my local Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C contractor provided 24-hour services, so I called their client care to find out. I explained to the client care lady that my heating program wasn’t working and wanted an Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C worker to come and fix it. All she said was it was past working hours and to call back the next day. I tried inquiring about the 24-hour repair available in several Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C companies, although she kept repeating the same thing.
