A few days ago, the central AC in my apartment stopped working, it wasn’t blowing any cold air at all but I had the thermostat set to cool. I called the apartment manager and told him that the central AC wasn’t blowing any cold air! He told me to call the service number and schedule an appointment for a repair. I called the repair staff supervisor and they called an Heating and A/C repair company. While I was waiting for the HVAC technician to arrive, I decided to order some pizza for my dinner. I didn’t want to turn on the oven and heat up the house when the AC wasn’t working. When the delivery guy arrived, I asked him to set the pizza on the table. He commented on the hot indoor atmosphere and I told him that the central AC wasn’t working. He offered to fix the problem and told me that he was working as an AC supplier during the morning. He wanted me to spend $50 and he promised that he could fix the problem. I thought the idea was crazy and I dismissed the AC guy from my home. I have no idea if the guy seriously could have fixed my AC problem, but I thought I should wait for the repair manager or the Heating and A/C crew, then about an hour later, the Heating and A/C technician showed up to fix the problem, luckily, it only took an minute to complete the repair. I was almost finished with pizza when the cool air started to flow from the ceiling duct. Thank goodness I didn’t have to spend all day without cold air.
