The delivery guy attempted to repair my air conditioning system

A few days ago, the central AC in my house stopped working.

It wasn’t blowing any cold air at all even though I had the thermostat set to cool.

I called the apartment manager and told him that the central AC wasn’t blowing cold air, so he told me to call the maintenance number and schedule an appointment for repair. I called the maintenance staff supervisor and they called an Heating and A/C repair business, but while I was waiting for the HVAC technician to arrive, I decided to order some pizza for dinner. I didn’t want to turn on the oven and warm up the house when the AC wasn’t working. When the delivery guy arrived, I asked him to set the pizza on the table. He commented on the warm indoor atmosphere and I told him that the central AC wasn’t working. He offered to fix the problem and told me that he was actually working as an AC specialist during the day. He wanted me to pay $50 and he promised that he could repair the problem. I thought the idea was absurd and I dismissed the AC serviceman from my home. I have no idea if the guy seriously could have fixed my AC problem, even though I thought I should wait for the maintenance supervisor or the Heating and A/C crew, but about an hour later, the Heating and A/C specialist showed up to repair the problem, luckily, it only took an hour to complete the repair. I was almost finished with pizza when the cold air started to flow from the ceiling air duct, but thank goodness I didn’t have to spend all night without air.
