The body didn't lie about the time of death

The weather can affect a lot of things.

It can change nature and the earth.

It erodes and carves the mountains, streams, and valleys. When it is hot outside, animals and nature decay at a much quicker rate. Cold air stops the process or slows it to a turtle pace. That is one of the biggest reasons why the morgue is always cold. I work in the morgue at a very large hospital that handles police cases and forensic crime investigations. One of the most interesting parts of my job is determining the time of death when a person is deceased. Oftentimes this is very important when it comes to a homicide or murder investigation. Several weeks ago, a body came to the morgue and I needed to identify the time of death. The body was frozen for several days and that made it very difficult to determine how long the person had been deceased. I had to use different types of science to determine the time of death. Once I realized how the person died, I made a timeline and simulated the outdoor conditions. I used an industrial air conditioner. The air conditioner is made for Sub-Zero temperatures. I set the thermostat on the industrial air conditioner for a cold winter day and I waited to see how long it took for the flash to completely freeze. I often use the industrial air conditioner when trying to determine how long a body has been dead. It’s amazing how simple household products have the ability to help us solve crimes.
