Shopping without AC is Ridiculous

Normally I do most of my shopping online.

When I was younger I used to like going to stores to do my shopping, but now that I am older I am not a fan of traditional shopping in brick-and-mortar places.

I have chronic pain from two different medical conditions, so walking around stores is not particularly fun. Despite this fact, I decided the other day that I really wanted to go shopping in real stores for a couple of little items for Christmas. I headed out to the Nearly Dead Mall and hit up the few remaining stores that are still there. I wanted to grab a bite to eat, so I headed off to what I thought was the Food court. When I went into the mall proper, I discovered the sad fact that even though the store I had been shopping in was air-conditioned, the mall itself was not running the AC. It’s about 75 degrees outside right now, and let me tell you shopping without air conditioning is pure misery. If they do not want people to go shopping in the mall, turning off the AC is the way to ensure they get what they want. If they do want people to go to the mall, they better turn the air conditioner back on. Even though it wasn’t excessively hot in the mall, it was a very stuffy and muggy feeling. The humidity around here is quite high, and without the AC running there was no dehumidifier either. When you have chronic pain, you tend to get overheated because your blood pressure rises. I need HVAC. Since there was no air conditioning, the mall that is clearly on decline seems to be hanging on with one foot in the grave and one foot on the land. Whoever made the decision to turn off the air conditioning needs to reassess.
