The rental car that I’m using for my work trip this week does not have air conditioning.
I was not expecting a rental car without AC when I was told that I would be going on a work trip.
A rental car without AC is a pretty awful thing. If you’ve ever experienced a rental car without AC, you probably know what I’m talking about. Not only am I driving around in a city that I am unfamiliar with, but now I am driving around in an unfamiliar city without an air conditioner. The AC in the rental car stopped working about an hour into our trip. I was not sure if we should turn around and return the rental car, but decided it wouldn’t be worth the hassle. This trip was only a couple of days long and we wouldn’t be doing much driving except for from the hotel to the office that we were working in. The rental car was a good one besides the fact that it didn’t have an AC. The reason that we were visiting was one with a pretty mild climate. The rental car without AC ended up being not that big of a deal. I didn’t want to bother my coworkers with having to take the car back to the rental company and replacing it with a car that had a C. When we returned the car to the airport rental company, we explained the situation and they reimbursed us in full.
