I’ve been working at the same HVAC dealer for the past couple of years in addition to I really like my job there, but I’m also the only female HVAC professional at the dealer.
I assume that being the only lady at the dealer gives myself and others a certain edge. It’s more or less like they cater to me, to a particular extent, and my boss regularly lets me be able to choose my own schedule in addition to whenever I have to go do a heating or cooling repair at a residential work site, they usually send another HVAC professional with me. It makes myself and others laugh, because I assume that I could handle myself just great with any of our oil furnace or air conditioning repair clients. I tend to trust all of my clients completely, so I never think unsafe at any of the apartment calls I have to make to do HVAC repairs or replacements, but my boss seems to think the need to protect myself and others at all costs. I have to say that I really like the way they all seem to want to help me out, and not only that, but they also tend to help myself and others out when there’s any massive lifting to be done. I assume that I genuinely have job security at this HVAC dealer, due to the fact that my boss has told myself and others that she will never hire another female HVAC professional for her dealer. I hope that means that she could never find another lady who could do the HVAC professional job and myself and others in addition to noticing that I’m such a terrible employee that she wouldn’t want another one of us!
