That means that we can count on the reliability of the furnace and it ensures that it’s running at its most efficient. But that’s not where it stops. Preparing the beach house for Winter time is another key component for helping the Heating and Air Conditioning during the winter. I start by ensuring that all of the weather stripping around the doors is in fine condition. If not, I change it out to ensure that our entrances aren’t allowing heat to leak out. The same is true for window and any other gaps I can find. I seal all of that up with caulk. Finally, I make sure the attic perimeter is sealed and there insulation is abundant. Then, all there is to do is try to keep the thermostat in a adequate range but still provide a warm, cozy house.
