I like to live in a climate that changes with the seasons.
I used to live in the south where every season felt more or less the same.
It’s a bit boring when you are celebrating Christmas and there isn’t any show, or when it’s 85 F outside and the beaches are filled with people. I lived in that type of weather for 30 years and soon became tired of the same old thing each year. That’s when I moved up north to the mountains and changed my life. Sometimes you need a shift in life to shake yourself alive again. Well, moving into a house with a steam boiler was definitely a change for me. I’ve been living in new houses my whole life until I bought this house and it was a wakeup call for me. I had to use a propane heater for the first few winter months because I couldn’t locate an air conditioning and heating repair company to come out and help me. I tried to fix the unit myself but I think I did more damage to it and probably made it non repairable in the end. I think it’s better to just call a heating contractor or dealership and get it repaired correctly, or just put in a whole new unit. Sometimes we think we can fix anything and it ends up costing us a lot more money than just giving in and calling someone who knows what they are doing. When it comes to heating and cooling repair, nothing is more important than getting it fixed properly.
