When my husband and I first met online a couple of years ago, I never really thought about the fact that I would eventually want to move somewhere to live with him! When we were first talking, we never really talked about the climate of the places where we were living. We were too busy being all silly and in love with each other. We never really talked about anything practical at all. When we decided that we were going to move in together and get married, we decided that I would go and live with him because he already owned his own place. At that point, I was just renting a room anyway and I did not like my job at all in the town where I was living, so it just made sense for me to come and live with him in his house, even though it was really far away. The distance has not turned out to be a problem at all, but the climate here is very different! I was used to living in a cold climate where I had to use the furnace all the time in the fall, winter, and spring. We had snow all the time and I even had to pay extra to use a little electric space heater in my bedroom during the winter months. I never used air conditioning at all, since my place didn’t have central air conditioning and we really did not even need it. Now that I’m living with him, though, everything is different. It’s so hot here all the time! I can barely even stand it during the summers. I have had to get used to using the central air conditioning in his house because without it, I think I might just melt away completely.
