In the office where I work, they have never had the ductwork cleaned out before.
- I mean, they have never had it cleaned professionally by a commercial HVAC company as far as I know.
I have been working here for about fifteen years now and in all that time, I have never seen an HVAC company doing anything at all with the ductwork or the air vents in this building. I would have noticed it too, because I am always on the lookout for the people who are working on the building. I am always worried about the indoor air quality inside of the building where I work, so if they had ever done a ductwork cleaning in this office, then I would have known about it. They call me the office busybody anyway. Nothing gets by me in this building, that’s for sure! Anyway, I don’t really know why they decided to get the ductwork cleaned out at this point when they haven’t done it in the past 15 years! I wonder if something went wrong in the HVAC system or if they found a dead animal or something up there. That would be terrible, but I guess that would account for them actually calling in a professional HVAC company to come and clean for once. The longer I think about it, the more I wonder why they decided to go ahead and do duct work cleaning now .I don’t know how I’m going to find out, but I’m going to get to the bottom of this. If we have been breathing in something harmful, then someone is going to pay!
