This Summer has Been Better When it Comes to Heating and A/C Costs

I’m really liking the fact that my spouse and I are finally in the lovely month of September.

That’s the same as turning the corner on a marathon and realizing that you’re absolutely going to finish. The heating and A/C cooling is still jamming in our beach house but I recognize that won’t be the case here in a few weeks. While that heat and humidity are still pumping outside, I’m sure thankful to still be able to rely upon my heat pump for both heating and cooling, not to mention humidity balance. That is surely one of the great things about the amazing HVAC cooling process. The heat pump really reduces the moisture level inside the house. So when you walk inside, you’re shedding the two most oppressive things about the summer. But you can run the risk of blowing the budget on the central air conditioning as well. Too much air conditioning can be exactly that, too much, and there are plenty of people who easily lean into the thermostat plus go crazy with over cooling the house. But that not only drains a bank account plus wastes resources and this approach winds up with people staying inside the air conditioning all summer. As for me, I try to find a great middle ground when it comes to all the HVAC system cooling we need in the summertime. First, I make sure that the heat pump gets the needed HVAC service and attention it needs to run at its most efficient. Then, I seal up the beach house real well and I pull the shades to mitigate direct sun heating. But ultimately, it’s all about making sure the thermostat setting is in a reasonable location. I try to be sure that the thermostat is never more than 12 degrees cooler than the outside air.
