The truck was scorching after the AC stopped

I’ve had a couple of major problems with my truck during the last month.

The truck is about 10 years old and I don’t perform regular maintenance.

It costs a lot of money to have all of the systems checked regularly and I can barely afford to pay the payment on the truck and the insurance. About a month ago, I was sitting in traffic on the 405 and it was very warm outside. It was a typically warm summer day for the city. When the AC in the truck started to feel warm, I adjusted the dial for the temperature to blow air more heavily. Even on the highest maximum AC setting, the air was still very warm. After the AC finally stopped altogether, the truck was scorching hot. I wanted to roll down the windows, but I was stuck in traffic and that would not have helped out at all. I certainly had a miserable end to my day and I had to take the car to have the air conditioner serviced a few days later. Thankfully the problem was a simple fix. My vehicle was low on refrigerant. Once the refrigerant was filled, cold air started to pour out of the air vents again. Now that the air conditioner has been fixed properly, I am starting to have some problems with the engine. It seems like everything is going downhill at the same time. The warranty on my vehicle expired last year and it feels like I’ve had one problem after another since the warranty expired.
