Did you know that the temperature inside of the earth is around 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit? That is almost as hot as the sun’s surface.
- The energy that can be created from that heat is known as geothermal energy.
Geothermal energy is a wonderful source of energy because it does not cause any harm to the Earth. In fact, this renewable energy resource can be harnessed and used with very little damage and very high success. My wife and I strongly believe that the Earth is dying quickly and that is due to all of the greenhouse gases and carbon emissions. We do our best not to add to the problem. We don’t drive a car that runs on gasoline and we don’t take up too much space. We want our carbon footprint to be much smaller than others. We live in a small RV that uses sustainable energy. We have solar panels that power all of our electronics and we use propane for cooking when burning wood is not available. We have a geothermal heat pump installed for heating and cooling purposes. We also use the geothermal heat pump to heat the water in our home. The heat from the earth is really amazing and it is a fantastic example of ways that the Earth is willing to help us change. If everyone living in the world started to use renewable energy to heat and cool their home, the emissions would be greatly reduced. That is one way to start reversing the damage. I’m happy to be a part of the solution instead of the problem.
