The custom wooden chairs were just what I needed.

Eight weeks ago, I was visiting a flea market plus I found 4old chairs… Just from the weight, I knew they were very solid heavy wood chairs.

They were unquestionably heavy in the legs plus arms were carved ornately.

I couldn’t wait to take them home, take a picture, plus see if I could find anything on Google about them. It didn’t take too long to learn they were chairs from the mid to late century. They looked love they had some kind of cushion on the seats, back, plus carved arms. I called the local upholstery shop plus asked if they did reupholstering. A couple days later, I was taking the chairs into the upholstery shop. The gentleman was silent when I brought the chairs in, however he said he had not seen a set of chairs such as this in a long time. He showed myself and others pictures of the last time he had seen chairs such as these, which amazed me. He had a picture of them upholstered in a very thick black leather with almost 3 inches of backing. I asked him if he could do the same thing with my chairs, but I wanted a floral motif. He took myself and others into the stock room, plus he showed myself and others multiple bolts of heavy cloth that had a floral motif, but it was subtle! One of them looked of English gardens, photographed with seasoned tintype film. I fell in enjoyment with the English garden plus asked for an estimate. Although it cost myself and others a little bit more than what I had originally planned for, I knew this upholstery was going to look stunning on my chairs. by the time the upholstery shop was done with my chairs; I swore the chairs had been custom made to go with my dining room.
