Refugees are, as the name implies, grated refuge from some disappointing situation plus allowed to move here to prevent them from coming to harm or suffering unjustly. The process can be a arduously long 1, plus sometimes people are living in other countries in refugee camps for twenty years or more. That means, when they come here, they need help to adjust. That is what my friend did; she introduced them to American life plus helped them get situated. Depending on where they came from, they had to learn weird things such as how to use indoor plumbing, lights, plus so on. Almost every single person had no clue about heating plus cooling. In fact, some of them confided that they thought stories of a/c plus magical heating that comes through the floor were wild tales they thought were fairy tales. I am sure she must have found her work incredibly moving plus satisfying. She would teach them about the water heater, too, plus they were amazed by having overheated water to take a shower or bath so effortlessly! Her work did not stop indoors, though. She had to teach them about the town buses, the “walk” signs that allowed them to cross the street, plus countless other things. Without a doubt, though, they were most amazed by our ability to have new heating plus cooling in our homes plus businesses.
