The side of the office building that I work at is regularly uncomfortable, but apparently the temperature control in this office does not work right because my side of the building does not seem to get any a/c or heating! Management works on the comfortable side of the building & they keep the temperature control set at a temperature that is comfortable for them, and us subordinates have to suffer without sufficient heating or a/c, then our side of the building does have heating & a/c vents, but the air never seems to get to us for some reason, however in the summer time all of us dress down in the lightest clothing allowable.
- In the Winter time all of us use blankets & portable heating systems just try & stay comfortable, the portable heating systems blow the fuses though & the managers keep getting mad at us for using them.
I recognize various times in one month was the final straw because management finally decided to call out an Heating, Ventilation plus A/C repair supplier to come & look at the issue. The Heating, Ventilation plus A/C corporation found out that the HVAC duct is completely clogged off leading to our side of the building. It is full of dust, debris & even outdated paperwork dating back to the 20th century. Apparently somebody thought the HVAC duct was a garbage can. Anyhow, once the ducts were all cleaned out, the entire office building started feeling much more comfortable. I recognize like I might entirely not freeze to death while doing my job now… Nonetheless, it’s pretty nasty that the HVAC duct hadn’t been cleaned out & at least 30 years. You would suppose that something an office manager would make sure was taken care of at least every few years! But then again, nothing surprises myself and others at this job anymore.
