My teenage voice doesn’t carry a ton of weight around here.
It’s as though every time I open my mouth, the parents believe I am about to say something snarky.
I believe that is kind of on me a bit since I tend to be quite sarcastic at times. However, there are times when I entirely do want to add my thoughts to household issues. We live right in the middle of a region where the heat is nothing short of brutal at least 4 weeks out of the year. Subsequently, the Heating plus A/C cooling is on like 24/7. This causes my Dad plus dad a great deal of stress because all that Heating plus A/C use gets to be entirely fancy. But, some of this is on them. They want the temperature of the condo to be like 69 degrees when they get home. Yet, they refuse to program the temperature control. There is just so much wasted energy trying to cool a mostly empty home while in the worst heat of the morning. I realize they labor entirely difficult to supply for our home so, I wanted to try to make a suggestion that just might save them a bunch of money. So, I went to them a single evening with my idea. I had done a bit of research online about Heating plus A/C smart temperature controls. They are able to precisely manage Heating plus A/C plus would learn our patterns. This meant no more overcooling an empty house. Yet, the Heating plus A/C would get the condo down to my parent’s comfort level by the time they came home. I even quoted some figures in my little talk. They couldn’t think it. I’m not sure if they are happier with me or the smart temperature control that was just installed.
