My world has been so quiet and easily controllable since I stopped working in the same building as other human beings. Getting away from my coworkers was one of the best things that has ever happened to me, I think. I’ve been happily staying at home to do all of my work for over a year. And it’s the best work setup I’ve ever had. I never appreciated driving to a stuffy office building every day for work I could easily do from my own desk. Don’t even get me talking about the inefficiently wasted time and energy every morning. It was always so expensive sitting with my AC system blasting in the traffic gridlock for hours. After that, I would arrive at the office and battle air temperatures… and coworkers… all day long. I’m sure you have seen before that having one central thermostat for multiple people means way too many indoor air temperature control changes take place. There was a lot of drama. The entire office could never agree on a single temperature for the single central heating, cooling, and ventilation device that was installed for our air quality needs. All my coworkers engaged in daily fights about the stupid air conditioning system or heating unit. They really wasted our time each day staring at the thermostat and calling profesional HVAC companies for emergency repairs. It was tearing the office apart. My productivity was much lower at the office thanks to all the upset. But since we all began working from home, everything is different. I have been so comfortable with my HVAC settings and silent environment. Finally, I can set my own thermostat to my personal temperature control preferences and no one is yelling about it.
