June had forgotten to turn on the gas

June knew her aunt was serious about leaving her the house when the papers arrived in the mail. She’d always loved vacationing at the beach house since she was a kid. Her aunt had chosen to remain unmarried and didn’t have any kids. So, June was her world, and she always came to pick her up during the summer holidays. June’s aunt was her dad’s sister, and they were very close as kids. This went on even when he married June’s mom, and she gave birth to her. June was surprised when her aunt said she’d met the love of her life and wanted to move away. Since she knew June loved the beach house, she gifted it to her and sent the paperwork to finalize this chapter. A month later, June moved from her flat near the area to the beach house. She had to use a space heater to keep the space warm on the first day. It was winter, so the house was freezing despite being on the beach. June tried to turn on the gas furnace, but there was no warm air blowing from the vents. Since she wasn’t sure where the issue was, June used her space heater to remain warm. The following day, she phoned an area HVAC business for assistance. She explained her gas furnace wasn’t working, and an HVAC professional came by to inspect the issue. It turns out June had not turned on the gas for the furnace system. Without it, there was no way the heating system would work in the beach house. June laughed at her oversight and thanked the HVAC professional for his assistance.
