I’m glad I learned to map ductwork systems with my drones

I purchased my first drone approximately 5 years ago, plus by today’s standards it was especially primitive.

It genuinely is nothing short of amazing to me how quickly this kind of technology evolves, and every year after that we had to get a new drone.

The new models were always so much more advanced than what I had. I didn’t even have anything to use the drones for, I simply appreciated flying them plus taking aerial footage of the city that was all around me… Years later I would finally find a way to turn my actual love of drones into a nice revenue stream, by doing freelance gigs for a few of the local Heating and Air Conditioning machine dealers. There are times when a Heating and Air Conditioning machine company needs to do major renovations on an old plus substantial office building or housing complex, however when dealing with skyscrapers plus tall buildings, the air duct systems are basically like a maze, plus honestly strenuous for the workers to check out thoroughly. They hired me to send a single of our small drones into the air duct, so I can fly around, get visual footage, plus also map out the air duct on the computer, however after I am done I can give them a file that breaks down the entire Heating and Air Conditioning system for the building, plus let them more really spot potential problems, then one day I hope to parlay these experiences into a full-time job for a major Heating and Air Conditioning dealer, but for now I just take the gigs as they come. It takes a honestly high level of skill to pilot a drone through such a labyrinthian system of air ducts plus air vents.
