My air ducts are really dirty.
I only know they are dirty because when I had a heating and AC technician come out to take a look at my heating and AC system he commented on how dirty my ear ducks were.
When he told me this I was really surprised because I didn’t think that they were that dirty at all, I was convinced that the previous homeowner had the air ducts cleaned and so they wouldn’t need to be cleaned again for quite some time. I haven’t owned this house for very long and I only moved in a few months ago. I wasn’t for quite a surprise when I found out that the previous homeowner really didn’t take that good care of the heating and AC system at all and that I was going to now have to pick up where they left off. I didn’t want to have bad indoor air quality and I didn’t want to have to worry about allergies and because of things that could be in the air ducts floating around. So I agreed with the heating and AC guy to go ahead and have my HVAC system cleaned and tuned up. Well he was cleaning the heating and air conditioning system he of course worked on the air ducts as well, I was amazed by how much dirt I saw they came out of there. He grabbed an entire plastic bag and filled it with dirt. It was so gross! It actually kind of scares me that the things that were floating around in the air and I was breathing in this entire time. No wonder I haven’t been feeling that great can you at least it’s clean now.
