I cannot believe that I fixed the HVAC unit on accident. I should have even been near the furnace. Honestly, I am not sure how my dad is going to respond when he learns that I fixed the furnace. I am a pretty hands-on kind of person. I love taking things apart and fixing them. Normally, I do them with small electronics that nobody cares about because I do not think that my dad would appreciate me taking apart his stuff. However, I was home alone today, and the furnace stopped working. Normally, if something like this happens, I call my dad and tell him to call the HVAC technician. Well, I did call my dad and tell him to call the HVAC technician, but I did not leave it at that. After I told him that the furnace was broken, an idea came into my head. I wondered if I would be able to tinker on the furnace. I did not actually think that I would be able to fix the furnace, but this was the one time that I would actually be able to take the furnace apart. My dad would have no idea because the HVAC technician would be able to put the furnace back together again if I wasn’t able too. However, while working on the furnace, I noticed that one of the wires was disconnected to a place where it was obviously supposed to be. I reattached the wire and put everything back together. I doubted that the furnace would turn on, but I wanted to try it out anyway. I couldn’t believe my eyes when the furnace actually turned on. Now, I have to explain to my dad why the furnace was working and why I decided to try in the first place. He is definitely going to be happy, right?
