Humidity Balance is a Pressing Aspect of Heating and A/C Cooling

I’m just really glad that we are almost in the month of September.

The feeling I have is sort of close to how I felt a month away from Christmas.

There is immense anticipation in the air when it comes the coming weather. After a couple of months of intense heat plus humidity, all of us here are on the verge of seeing the air conditioning demand lessened. While September is still notoriously hot and humid in this region, there is some light at the end of the tunnel. The HVAC system’s cooling unit is still really doing its thing and we’re all awfully grateful for that. The afternoons are still plenty hot and the need for heating and A/C cooling comfort is still at premium. However, I’m noticing just a couple little changes over the past week or so. There have been cooler breezes in the night, so much so that it’s nice to get out of the central air conditioning plus enjoy the night air. That is for sure a small change but it’s indicative of what’s to come. Soon, there will be afternoons where I can go outside to enjoy my Tim Hortons Latte without being covered in sweat or feeling as though there is a wet blanket on my head. That’s an immense part of the concern around here. The humidity can just be so darn oppressive. Thankfully, my amazing HVAC system addresses the humidity factor inside the house. The heat pump is not only moving out heat energy to be sent outside, but there is a fair amount of moisture that goes with it. So we’re left with indoor air that is cool, crisp plus much, much drier than the air outside. And it’s only going to get better!
