A few mornings ago, I started noticing that the gas furnace was cycling on and off more frequently! It took a few mornings to notice the problem, and then all of us thought I was going crazy. It’s strenuous to distinguish if the gas furnace is cycling too suddenly or not, so I absolutely needed a few mornings to assess the problem. I kept a log of the number of times that the gas furnace seemed to turn on and off, but after I had a 6-day log, I went online to look for some information, right away, all the people agreed that the gas furnace was cycling too much, but they recommended contacting a gas furnace service shop. I do not have a trusted contractor on call, so I called the first gas furnace service shop that showed up on Google. They arrived on our doorstep in about 3 hours. The woman spent various hours looking at the gas furnace and told myself and others that the concern was a broken fan switch! She explained the importance of the fan switch and it seemed love that could be the reason for the problem. The woman had to go to the hardware store to buy a fan switch for our identifiable gas furnace. She came back about an hour later. It did not take long to change out the switch. The heating service contractor gave myself and others a warranty and told myself and others to call if the unit still seems to have complications. I hope this will be the service that fixes all the complications, because it wasn’t a lot of cash to repair the issue. That would be a welcomed and unexpected turn of events.
