I find that the older I get, the more I am the man that people in my life are easily snickering at.
- This is totally weird because I really was a pretty cool guy for most of my life.
I mean, I wasn’t Kevin Hart or anything close. But, I honestly wasn’t the person that people tended to giggle and laugh at. Now, I will walk in a room and have honestly no idea whatsoever why I went in there. Then, I will pretend that I was just there to check the HVAC machine setting. It would seem that it is crystal clear to everyone that I am easily faking it. Hence, the laughs. I find I can do the same thing with the way I dress on my afternoons off. My wife will laugh like crazy and point while telling me there is no way I am leaving the HVAC comfort of our residence “looking like that”. I know I have lapsed into a bit of nonchalance gone really wrong. However, I assume that I am not totally losing it either. I easily still am on top of my job. The residential responsibilities are still being taken care of. I am solely in charge of everything HVAC machine related. I must make the service appointments and then make sure to be at my residence to meet the tech. The air filters are also my task alone. Those things get changed every month religiously. You honestly can’t allow the air filters to get obstructed because it puts a drag on the rest of the HVAC system. That air filter is totally like the lungs of the heating and cooling machine. If it’s all obstructed, the excellent air isn’t getting to where it needs to be.
