We are building an addition onto our house this year.
We have been thinking about doing it for a long time and now I think the time has finally come.
Our kids are getting bigger and so are their friends and so we really need all of the extra space that we can get. We also have three giant dogs that think that they own the place. They are big and slobbery and so we need a lot of room for them to spread out. We have one big living room already but my husband and I started thinking that it would be good for us to have another living space for everyone to spread out in. I am pretty excited to get the project going but the one thing that I am concerned about is our heating and cooling system. I’m just not sure if we should try to tie in our existing heating and cooling system so it will work in the new living area or not. I have looked into it and I feel like there are pros and cons to both plans. I mean we could leave it as is and just use the same HVAC system that we have always had but it will put a big strain on it with the new area that it will need to provide heating and cooling for. Of course buying a new HVAC system just for the new living area would be a very expensive endeavor as well. Either way I know that we will enjoy the new living area once it is finished.
