Turning my basement into a livable space

I have been planning on making my basement into a living space for quite some time now.

It would take a lot of work, even though I was willing to put in the work. As it currently stood, it was dark and damp and kind of creepy looking with absolutely bad lighting. I started by having the lights replaced, no more dim and flickering lights and instead bright bulbs that definitely lit up the room. The next step was to repaint everything. I painted the walls a bright white and it looked so much better than the drap grey that was there before. Then I had some of the places repaired, a few holes in the wall were filled and a leak in the roof was repaired as well, and some of the last steps were adding carpet over the tough floor and moving in comfortable furniture and a TV. The more progress I made the more it was starting to assume like a room and not a creepy basement. I still felt like I was missing something and then it dawned on me, I needed a heating and cooling system. I found just what I was looking for too, it was a perfect little zone controlled Heating and A/C system. This way anyone that wanted to be down there could control their own temperatures to their heating or cooling preferences. After all was finished I diagnosed it out for myself and really enjoyed how everything had come out. It was just like any other room now and the creepiness was gone. The zone controlled Heating and A/C system worked wonderfully as I watched a movie, it kept me nice and cool and comfortable.
