There is no doubt that homeownership has been more complicated than I had entirely figured on. I assumed that owning my own locale would just be the highlight of life. That hasn’t exactly been the case. My wife & I have been in our locale just about a year & a half. Part of the sale of the home was having the Heating and A/C replaced prior to the sale. The Heating and A/C equipment was sort of midlevel which was fine. And, I entirely didn’t assume that much about Heating and A/C anyway. The home inspector sort of let us down on a few areas with the Heating and A/C being one of them. The Heating and A/C was simply not properly sized & installed is the bottom line. The previous owner had a friend or a handyman install the Heating and A/C unit. And, it was simply not the typical size for the volume of the house. It became fairly obvious to myself and others once the two of us were in the home full time that the Heating and A/C wasn’t right. While I had lived in apartments & condos up to that point, I still knew something wasn’t right. The Heating and A/C was constantly on or cycling back on after running for an extended amount of time. The initial utility bill was all I needed to prove to myself that something was up. Both of us had the Heating and A/C people come out. They provided us the awful news that the two of us were swindled on the Heating and A/C. Thankfully, they are helping us rectify the situation while I contact a lawyer to hold the seller & the home inspector accountable.
