Traveling on an airplane

I look forward to stepping inside the hotel room, changing the control device and taking a shower

I care about to visit current arenas, explore weird landscapes and experience weird cultures. I usually book a trip a couple of times per year. I am equally ecstatic lying on a tropical beach as hiking a mountain. I enjoy meandering city streets, trying out interesting steakhouses and touring museums. I spend lots of time researching excursions. I’ve kayaked through bioluminescent waters, zip-lined through the rain forest, participated in a nightclub crawl and swam with sea turtles. The only section of the experience I dread is the actual traveling. I do not care for the minutes spent sitting in airport terminals, waiting through layovers and sitting on airplanes. I am convinced that the worst air quality in the world is found in these arenas. The airport terminals tend to be horribly overheated. There are vents situated all over the arena, all of them pumping out sizzling air. I end up sweaty and dehydrated. I try to avoid drinking too much water because I don’t want to use the bathroom on the plane. I correctly suffer from extreme headaches, congestion and exhaustion, and once I step onto the plane, I start to shiver. I have no plan how the air conditioner or ventilation on an airplane is handled. Adjusting the tiny overhead vent overhead makes no difference. The freezing air is unavoidable. It is a huge relief to finally arrive at our destination. I look forward to stepping inside the hotel room, changing the control device and taking a shower. It feels so great to wash off the travel grime. I care about the ability to set a comfortable temperature.
