People had been seeing this would be the coldest Wintertide on record, but I don’t tend to put stock in what people say! Folks in a small neighborhood appreciate running their mouths, so you have to take everything with a grain of salt, but i typically keep my home prepared for winter, plus for any emergency, so I just did what I typically do.
- It turns out this time people were right, plus the icy plus snow has been heavier, thicker, plus more typically falling then any Wintertide I can ever remember… My respected setup for any Wintertide starts with an Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C inspection from one of the local companies, to make sure my unit will last a cold season.
After that, I plug in plus test out all of my strange space heaters, plus give the outdated generator a test run as well. If the power goes down, the generator won’t run the central system however will give enough juice to run all my space heaters, then each of the little oil heating systems can keep a room pretty warm, so I can stay warm plus so can my dogs; Last however not least I make sure to have an ample supply of firewood, so I can keep the fireplace warm whenever needed. I appreciate a fire, so I will use my fireplace quite often even if I don’t need to, however if push comes to shove I can stay warm for about a month with all the firewood I have on hand; The gods of Wintertide can do their worst, I have enough heating to withstand it all.
